所謂全部否定，就是對(duì)被否定的詞、句的意義作全部的而不是部分的否定。在英語中，全部否定是通過一些以字母“n”打頭的否定詞來表達(dá)的。這類否定詞常用的有no, none, not, never, nobody, nothing, nohow, nowhere, neither...nor 等。煙臺(tái)翻譯公司由這類詞構(gòu)成的全部否定與漢語的否定形式基本相同，一般可照譯為漢語否定句。但有時(shí)需要改變否定詞的詞序。例如：

7. None of the inert gases will combine with other substances to form compounds.

無論哪一種惰性氣體，都不會(huì)和其它物質(zhì)化合而形成化合物。

8. Horsepower has nothing to do with the horse.

馬力和馬毫不相干。
